Resizing

To resize the chart, use "Chart" - "Change Size" menu item.
Following dialog box appears.

(2) Current size (Black)
(3) Current used area and the difference from chart size (green)
(4) The difference between current size and the new size
(5) Anchors to be used to drag to resize: You can use those black boxes to drag to resize the chart.

(7) Current used area and the difference from chart size
(8) The difference between current size and the new size. The text boxes are for entering the margins.
(9) To specify the new size by width and height.

Your are right, this functionality is actually "crop" the image.
In that sense, this functionality is resizing the canvas, not resizing the image.
(So, I should/will change the labeling.)
KG-Chart doesn't have a function to "resize" a image right now.
